Initial Ideas

• “Home Comforts” - items from “home” taken out of context. Building on this theme. Would need models, and a favour from someone with a car / my mum lending me hers for a week or so to transport props to remote locations.
• “Feet” - posed street photography of feet. Dog + owner? Elliott Erwitt - New York City. Parent + child? Item relevant to subjects’ hobbies (i.e. artist and paintbrush, photographer and camera, musician and instrument, rider and riding hat etc)
• Frantisek Drtikol - The Soul. Use as inspiration. “Soul” diving through misty black and white spirals. Cardboard cutouts? Food dye in water for the misty effect? Would need work on lighting. Ideas about the connotations of diving and resurfacing.
• Duane Michals - I Build A Pyramid.
  Robert Smithson - Ithaca Mirror Trail.
  Narrative. Storytelling. Each set out in series of 3 or 4 images. Could take a “journey” (Cardiff Bay -> Penarth, Caerphilly Mountain, Cardiff City Centre, Clifton area of Bristol, quieter areas of London, Iceland) and record both what lies ahead and what has already been passed.
